Actually you have a very good point. Reminded me of when I was younger and went camping with a friend. I packed a whole bunch of food and supplies. When we got there I realized that he hadn't brought any supplies other than a few beer. Well after a few (maybe more) drinks he got hungry and started to dive into my cooler. Well you can guess how it ended.....

Conservative critics seized on a passage in which he said: “Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail. However, Obama spoke bluntly of some of the “sources of tension” between the cultures, including head scarves and the role of women, but did not include the word “terrorism” or its variants.

It's all a bunch of theatre. 'They' keep the American People divided and at odds with each other. A divided people are easy to conquer and control. Many have been conned and played after getting caught up in this whole 2 Party, Republican vs Democrat crap that's dished out and spoon fed to the people while they sit in their highchairs of a false sense of the American Dream. The mainsream media and entertainment has been brainwashing folk for decades. It's both entertaining and scary to see these same tactics applied at different places in The Realm of Fora. Some months ago I left another Forum after being treated in a rude manner after posting how the 2Party bickering was tearing America apart, which told me they were a part of the same pile of scat that's keeping alot of people fenced-in pastures like cattle or sheep. I must admit, it wasn't hard for me to get all caught up in the promises, hope and bright outlooks Obama had to offer. Gabriel you don't know just how much I'd like to be wrong, but after beeing fooled enough even some idiots catch on. These are times that merit question and breed malcontent. We pay these political leaders for a service. Judging from the shape of things it seems to me that they are lacking in their performance.

Maybe I was just spoiled in my childhood and young adult years, a time when it seemed like the marjority of people had decent jobs that paid abit more than an average living wage and nobody was losing their livelyhoods or homes as they are now. My father bought a 4 bedroom house for about the same amount people today spend for a new car. His pay alone kept my mother and 5 kids, fed, clothed, schooled and entertained. From a young man up until about 10 years ago My feeling was I was well enough off for an average working guy. Now like so many others here in this country I have to keep mending old ropes to keep from sliding into the sinkhole. Hell back in the 80's we would do about 5 weekends a year camping and trout fishing, along with 2 separate week long vacations either at Carolina's OuterBanks or somewhere in the uplands or beyond. Now I am happy if I can get away for a couple of long weekends a year. Pretty much stayed put during that four dollar a gallon of gas shakedown we endured just last year.

It would be in the fondest hopes of many if Obama can indeed get us back to better times, but to me it seems America is sorely wounded. Perhaps a nation founded by slave owners and the values of Manifest Destiny is doomed to a short life of founding,faring, fade and fall.
Maybe this is how it is when the cords that hold empire aloft and secure, snap and unravel. How often has it happened in human's long recalled history ? Each time there were alot of people who either turned a blind eye or had not a inkling.
