the universe sent me:

TWO Mr. Kitties!!!!!!! altho i do not know if this pair is male or female,
just look attem! spittin' images, lil carbon copies - they showed
up when i was putting out seed and water for birds (yeah, i know,
you guys warned me i was setting a bird trap) anyway, i saw
the kitties eating the bird seed....... so i started setting out kitty food

these lil guys are feral, very skittish, but they are getting
closer and closer.... they are scrawny and simply surviving...
i felt they needed my help more than the birds, which seem
to be doing very well.... biggz, this pic dedicated to your

i have 4 feral cats that i am feeding..

here's the short story
2 falls ago a buffy colored cat started hanging around..we thought she belonged to someone so we just chased her off the porch

little did we know she was preggers..sigh..we thought we saw four kittens last fall...but were never sure cause those little buggers can move..anyway that's when we figured they were ours to care for and i started to feed them..they didn't know was kitty food was so i mixed in some raw hamburger the first two days..

they catch on quick..we discovered there were only two kittens
so i fed them thur last winter and made calls on how to get feral cats fixed..one was already three so if they were all femal ..yikes

i borrowed the have a heart traps and fed them in those till they got used to it ..so that when i was ready it would be easy

welllllllllll best laid plans...
turns out come march when i was ready to take them to the humane society for the feral cat spaying...
hubby needed to get into the top of the barn for something..
guess what
kittens everywhere...holy shit..

rescheduled the spaying till the kittens were big enough not to nurse
started to feed the kittens...i counted at least 13 plus the 3 mothers..no way can i feed that many cats..and goddess only knows how many of them were female also.. finaly count was 12

called all the shelters and cat rescue places...all full not taking..seems there was a glut on the market for cats

kept the mothers seperate when they came back from spaying..that is a whole other story..we stayed for the 8 hours it took

used the have a heart traps to catch as many kittens as i could...we got them all but one cause the mother cats got out and herded him down the road and into the woods..
unfortunately with no where to take that many kittens they were destroyed..very sad but neccessary in this circumstance

the mother cats brought him back..yes we can tell it's a he...so i have three spayed females and a tom cat that wait for me every morning ..but so far i can only pet the oldest mother..i think she may have been a tossed pet..the others are very feral

i'll try to get ya a pic..they are beauties...but mokie the house hunter cat hates em....it's a circus

Well you two ladies have bigg's heart pumpin right now. Precious souls you are for feeding the poor little souls when they cannot find anything to eat.

Thank you for feeding them hippie, the poor little puddins, oooooh, it warms the cockles of one's heart knowing there are people like yourselves out there radiating spirit to those in need.

That picture of the cat facing the camera looks exactly like my feral and all his offspring I'm caring for. We named him Shady because he likes to find a nice shady spot under the pine trees to nap in the summertime and he's a bit of a thief...

My sister has some near her new place she's trying to lure inside. We were having a discussion about tigers and how friendly and approachable they are but grey shorthairs and most other breeds are a little more shy.

That was nice of the universe to send you some babies to pamper.

I have 2 cats that look identical to these. They are mother/daughter. We call them sniffles and sneazy. I think they are allergic to cats or something.

here are the move ins.....they come up the lane every morning to show me where to take the food..lol..one always stays at the barn to protect their squatting rights, i think



buffy is the mother cat and the grey striped one is one of the daughters, stripie




after a hug or two they come to get me




then they all gather at the food dish...buffy is the only one i can pet..the other three are feral but like to eat..they will come in the morning if i call but that is the only time



now i am the happy caretaker of 6 cats and only one pooch..i think i need another pooch..lol

I'm a cat person, I like dogs but cats seem to communicate beter with me. Isn't it wonderful that they know exactly who to go to? All us loving suckers! They know we can't turn them away!

Everytime I answer the door I have cats I've never seen before just walking right in. My company always says hey there's a cat that just acted like he lived here. I tell them it's okay, they must be spreading the word that I'm a soft touch...

Oooh L, they are psychic, most animals are, they are probably led by angels to your door sweetie.

It is like...................there is one of us in human form, just follow me.

A goose sky? My dad had a goose as a pet when he was a kid. Some funny stories there.

I miss havin any kitties around too. I'm a dog guy for sure, but having 50 lbs. Wondermutt jump up in my lap isn't quite the same as ol' Snickers kitty (my first pet).

a goose..it got put in the dog pen with my dobermen, Hapi...they got along great...
i have some pics somehwere in the cupboard..but you know i can't remember what became of that goose..
i'll have to see if hubby's memory works...

and hey..if you wnat to get out of the city and come in this direction, i have nephews approx. your age that would luv to show you around..party central is the south side of pgh..and tons of artists and stuff....

yeah i have some strange critter stories..but when they happened they were just things happenin
now they're good stories
