You're a ringer! Lemme guess, customer service? Hostess? Receptionist? Change your name to The Deb Palmer, or Lolita Vitorio that might mess 'em up a little.

wellllllllllllll ....... after the meeting with the owner, he said i would need to come in on fri or sat and be trained so i could begin working sunday .... so i went yesterday and got a manicure (it is so much better when you feel well-groomed, especially when you are handing things to the public) i had not heard from owner on fri about when to come in so i sent off this email sat
Quote :
good morning, Eddie
I hope you and yours enjoyed Thanksgiving ....
have been watching my email inbox for info re: Brazenhead ...
will continue to do so,
regards,
and got this response:
Quote :
Debra, Thanksgiving was very enjoyable with my family thank you. I enjoyed our meeting Wednesday. Unfortunately, I will not be offering you the position. Thank you, Eddie Savino
what? um, eddie, you already offered me the position ... now you are taking it back ... "unfortunately" for whom? ah, unfortunately for YOU, sir, i think .....
spent the day feeling confused and rejected, not quite sure what happened ... worked thru it and figure it's HIS loss and that there must be something better for me around the corner ... so i am gonna go fishin'
more and more, i just do not understand people
found this just now, thought i would share, cuz it made me feel more positive and (hopefully) back on track:

hippie it's not if you have it or not.. it's about what you have learnt in your searching trip that you are only responsible for your honesty and your self respect not someone else's and not letting their lack of those get to you
if he couldn't be honest about offering the job it's a good thing you found out before putting in your efforts and then having to quit look at it this way..the universe has saved you the bother and frustration of dealing with him
just ask the universe to put you in a good fit for who you are now and bless and release that thought
you know it will be a wonderous if unexpected turn ..look where your trip has taken you so far
big warm hugs

Our hippy walks in the power of the Spirit, and all things will work out just right for our roving sister....

Anything Lola wants... I think she's STILL got it and didn't get the wrong job so that she would be available for the right one, she still has little doubts but I don't.
She usually realizes that AFTER the fact. My sister, she's just a little slow... she's our "SPECIAL" sister!

I am getting you should apply for jobs, part-time, relief etc outside what you would normally apply for.
Bookshops, mags, things outside of your norm.

Buy yourself some of that power dressing, then, instead of applying for the waitress jobs, apply for the managerial jobs at the same restaurant instead. You CAN do it.
