| Cadmium, lead found in drinking glasseshttp://www.mail.com/intl/article.aspx/us/0/apnews/us/20101122/u_us-cadmium-lead-glassware?pageid=1'Drinking glasses depicting comic book and movie characters such as Superman, Wonder Woman and the Tin Man from "The Wizard of Oz" exceed federal limits for lead in children's products by up to 1,000 times, according to laboratory testing commissioned by The Associated Press. The decorative enamel on the superhero and Oz sets -- made in China and purchased at a Warner Brothers Studios store in Burbank -- contained between 16 percent and 30.2 percent lead. The federal limit on children's products is 0.03 percent. The same glasses also contained relatively high levels of the even-more-dangerous cadmium, though there are no federal limits on that toxic metal in design surfaces.' Is this on purpose or by accident? | |

| Being loosley involved in the manufacturing industry mate I would say its a known amongst most that one never can know what comes out of China. Greed on all facets knows no bounds :S
Deng Xiao Ping said this when asked whether China was Capitalist or Communist, "It doesn't matter if the cat is black, or the cat is white...as long as its catching mice".
To cut a long answer short, I do not think its deliberate in the sense of people getting together to hatch a plan, but I do 100% believe people know that this can happen but turn a blind eye in the pursuit of financial reward.
All in all it goes against human endeavour to improve as a whole inmho | |

| Very good answer Soma, agree 100%, when the almighty dollar comes before giving a toss about health standards. | |

| I'd say this was done on purpose with the sole aim to target children, hence the brightly coloured cartoon characters.
Cadmium and lead are poisons which attack the brain. It's all part of the NWO to dumb down the population from an early age, to the point where we are just useful enough as adults to work, but not smart enough to think for ourselves or ask questions. It's meant to keep the general populous 'quiet and passive' so they continue to work but not kick back at society.
Think for a minute...Why do you think there are no federal limits? Do you think they just happened to 'forget' that one, or it just slipped by un-noticed.....hummm.
It's a two-fold plan, to get the population in zombie mode and rake in lots of money at the same time with the sale of the products. I reckon it's one of those fine line limit where it's so clever it's insane.
Question everything!
