I remember when they finally came on the stage I got trod on by a 1,000 doc martins as it was one of them outdoor concerts. Here they are.

My two youngest have been to the USA and Canada a couple of times. My daughter saw REM in New York and also in Spain as well.
Yep L2 and Louise I thought they were excellent on stage no doubt about it. I just couldn't believe the sea of young, fit people that got up and whoosed forward when they came on in Melbourne. I felt like I was the oldest, the unfittest one and was in fear of my physical safety because I couldnt move as fast. Besides that they were a great band live.
