Hey mate I'm up for all expressions, it's only a matter of perspective which angle you take.
Ditto. Wow those vids had some crazy shit goin on but it's not really my speed though, so it's cool to get a perspective from a well informed fan. Thx stal. One mundane thing that comes to mind though, is how the hell do these lead singers tour more than one night without losing their voices? Must be some serious vocal excercising they do.
Stal, u ever heard of a show called Metalocalypse? It's an animated comedy about the biggest metal band in the world (Dethklok). Not sure if this link will work in Oz but have a look if you can, it's hilarious and the music is pretty good too.
yeah i've seen a couple of eps from the first season. laughed my ass of at some parts.
pretty good piss-take on the scene. pretty cool that the guy writes all the songs himself too.
haha doing the harsh vocals takes a lot of practice if you want to keep doing it regularly over an extended period of time. there are techniques and stuff. dudes who just try to belt it out with no skill always end up with polyops and strained vocal chords.

There certainly is a recurring reptilian theme in these songs.
