Sweet words, and very sweet production !
Metal really has some very talented people working in that scene from I have seen over the years, and in a lot cases much more muscally aware of harmonics than the average joe.
Having said that I lost a good friend of mine to heroin who was in the grindcore scene. His music to the outsider would repulse the outsider, but he did more for helping people on average than many. A very large heart!
I loved this song when my mate played it to me on Vinly, we were all anti gov, anti pricks etc and we all expressed it in different ways !

RIP RONNIE JAMES DIO
RIP Indeed.
Dio never really registered on my musical radar, but I loved his cameo in Tenacious D's movie.

Hey mate I'm up for all expressions, it's only a matter of perspective which angle you take.
There certainly is a recurring reptilian theme in these songs.

Ditto. Wow those vids had some crazy shit goin on but it's not really my speed though, so it's cool to get a perspective from a well informed fan. Thx stal. One mundane thing that comes to mind though, is how the hell do these lead singers tour more than one night without losing their voices? Must be some serious vocal excercising they do.
Stal, u ever heard of a show called Metalocalypse? It's an animated comedy about the biggest metal band in the world (Dethklok). Not sure if this link will work in Oz but have a look if you can, it's hilarious and the music is pretty good too.
