I can tolerate the odd spider, but that is just one too many.

skywatcher they call it ballooning. The spiders produce large lengths of silk so the wind can catch them and move to another place.

Thanks for that Reunite. I looked it up to get more info after your post and those danged spiders are some clever little cookies.

I have actually seen this once during the day. Years ago looked up and saw all these strands floating in the air.

It took me a while to figure out what it was.

It's the white tail and wolf spiders I have to watch out for in these parts.

The white tails I find now and again inside because that's what they do; it's when they bite you, your in trouble.

I must be somewhat countryfied as when I see one I just get annoyed and kill it, I dont scream.
