| I don't how to copy with my laptop as I have said before but I received an email from a friend marked urgent whose brother's friend is a programmer with Microsoft.
He said he has checked with Norton and Snopes? and they are gearing up for a virus that is being sent out to people through email and if it has an attachment that says Postcard from Hallmark do not open it because if you do it opens a postcard image which burns the whole hard disc C drive of your computer.
He said this is worst virus announced by CNN and to shut down your computer and has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
And to pass this on to all your contacts.
So I thought I would put it here if you haven't yet heard. | |

| I never open that junk and tell people not to send me all that stuff because I've been hit in the past. Thanks for the warning though... | |

| Professional virus alerts are almost never written in that kind of alarmist language. These kinds of emails are seen regularly, its a kind of chain letter. I would simply keep on being careful not to open attachments unless you already know what they are. There are some great, free, anti-virus products; it is always worth having one going. Here is an Australian link with one such product http://www.avgfree.com.au/ | |

| I have paid for something called spyware doctor, I think it orginates from Ireland somewhere, but it comes up with a pop up to let me know if there are any infections and so on. Should have asked you in the first place, never mind. | |

| Ooooh, I thought I might have got it wrong, again. You know I have to be honest here, I only found out about the benefits of a Mac when I read your post to hippie about her having a Mac and not getting a virus with them; otherwise I would not have had a clue. Ah well, you all should know what I am like now. snoring most of the time if I can get away with it. He, he. | |
