Awwwww yeah, I friggin' love this one. Almost the best cheesy 80's synthesizer theme song ever, if not for Beverly Hills Cop.
Oh yeah, this is a scary halloween music thread.
(way better tune with the SF Symphony Orchestra)

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but I always enjoyed halloween, dressed up and had loads of fun UNTIL I found something out.
A small child whose memories came back, told me that his dad (who was an intelligent, respected professional in the community and "in the know") was always extremely nervous when he picked him up from school on halloween.
The dad would say.... "hurry up, get in the car and stay with me and never leave my sight for not even one single moment because tonight is when they grab the children".
The child was shocked to see his dad act like this and couldn't understand the real fear he saw in his eyes.
There is more that the child remembers, but that behavior alone made perfect sense to me on WHY the dad ONLY freaked out on halloween. Please watch your children and grandchildren on this dark night where evil lurks.

geeeeeeeeee Linda we were only doing the music here.. but you are correct in that now days you have to really watch over the young ones.. and that is so sad
where i grew up we had great fun making our costumes and getting into the makup paint stuff.. and most of the neighbors knew whose kid you were... and watched us leave their house as the next neighbors watched as we walked up to theirs.. they all watched and while we didn't like it..what kid would..then but we were very protected..the real village scenario some parents would be out on the streets with the smaller ones.. and you didn't dare be a smart ass kid..they would tell your parents ..even before you got home
then i moved to this community and they didn't have the door to door fun.. the volunteer firmen opened the rec hall and it was a big deal for the kids 12 and younger to show up in costumes for prizes and games and rides on the firetruck the 13 and up kids got their own dance with costumes optional... i thought it was a terrible thing at the time..lol but as i got older i changed my mind
now they have changed it to kids on the street...but still take the kids on the firettruck.. they drive it all over picking kids up and returning them..and parents go to..i think they like it better than the kids.. and the streets are like a giant block party...and all the kids are in groups with at least one adult they still have fun here.. just not the same type we had
it's a really great place to live and i feel ready bad for other places that aren't like this anymore and where it is dangerous
so i do hope those in nasty places are much more careful on trick or treat night
ok.. back to the music

Yes,sky back to the music...so sorry and I sincerely didn't mean to highjack your thread.... but just to let you know that the neighborhood was not a bad area where this kid lived. It was actually the safe, good part of town where the "important" people lived! Maybe that's why the dad was so concerned....hmmmmm Carry on.

Linda no problem at all.. i went back and re-read what you had written and got an entirely different meaning from how i first took it..sigh
but the nice thing about here (this forum) is most are well intended and do not do things in a mean way so really no problem... i misunderstood your warning..
