| WASHINGTON – "More than 90 percent of economists predict the recession will end this year, although the recovery is likely to be bumpy. That assessment came from leading forecasters in a survey by the National Association for Business Economics released Wednesday. It is generally in line with the outlook from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and his colleagues. About 74 percent of the forecasters expect the recession — which started in December 2007 and is the longest since World War II — to end in the third quarter. Another 19 percent predict the turning point will come in the final three months of this year, and the remaining 7 percent believe the recession will end in the first quarter of 2010." link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090527/ap_on_bi_ge/us_economic_recovery | |

| Well not to be a doom and gloom guy but I think that we will be well into another plunge by the summer and will not see the full effects of it till sometime in the 3rd quarter there are too many open questions yet to be answered | |

| The world economy is being taken down, there is no real prospect of recovery, since that would just prolong a paradigm whose time has past.
It is just one of those "no pain no gain" moments we are having to tolerate before we can burst through the muck into the new light of a new day.
I love the topic title because its true.

| same link as I gave below but it is relevant here also... http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_Economy/KE28Dj03.htmlSeven months in, the bailout's impact is unclear. The Treasury Department has used the recent "stress test" results it applied to 19 of the nation's largest banks to suggest that the worst might be over; yet the International Monetary Fund as well as economists such as New York University professor and economist Nouriel Roubini and New York Times columnist and Nobel and Economic Science Prize winner Paul Krugman predict greater losses in US markets, rising unemployment, and generally tougher economic times ahead. | |

| I too love the title of this thread winehippie. Am I the only "sick" person here on these pages or is their others that would like to see a major collapse of all our institutions?? And a major shake up of all things? I realize it would be a terrible hardship on everyone, but I for one do not think that things have a chance in hell as the current paradigm illusion offers to the masses/the common person that is blind to what is really happening. It seems that a major shakeup is needed for the majority to wake up? Please tell me I am not the only "crazy" one here??.......LOL | |

| aw, Gabe, you not loco
i have imagined many scenarios, and to raze the current paradigm to rebuild another seems to have the best chance for success....
of course, i also imagine stepping over/merging with the next dimension, and simply leaving it all behind
and i imagine mother earth going through her pole shift and surviving with hand tools and seeds...
your turn to assure ME that i am not crazy! :hypnotizeb: | |

| OK winehippie I'll assure you that one of your scenarios of just leaving it all behind and just moving to the next sounds like the best to me...LOL it is a mental load to think about the possibilities. | |
