Object on Mars clearly machined

Here is a photo from Mars that clearly shows this object has been machined by someone. Make the picture bigger, and look at the left end of this object, there is a very clear collar housing, around the object that is very clearly defined about 6 inches back from the left end.

This object looks kinda like a section of pipe, or perhaps a section of what could be a column of some sort, and it looks like it has been broken apart from whatever it was. As the right end of this object looks to have been ripped or torn somehow?
