| I will explain: Today I got a call from a woman postal worker in New Mexico. She said she had a package with my name on it [she didn't know it was me] and wanted STEVE'S permission to open and destroy it because it "smelled" suspicious. [I had a friend mail me a little somethin'] hmmm, I said I'd have him call her back.
Then I got to thinking. And I am fucking tired of all the apathy, tired of BAD laws governing good people. So I called her back. I told her she needed a warrant to open my package and that it violates my 4th amendment rights. She will probably get her warrant and destroy it, but if she has any trouble [postal service is in deep doo doo] and if they have to deliver it, I will go to jail.
I'm practicing my meditation, going to quit smoking because I'm not going to give in this time. I'm not going to just blow it off. I'm not going to take the "opportunity" to just allow them to destroy my personal property. I will go to jail... it will give me an opportunity to have some dental work done. I want a jury trial, let them see if they can gather 12 people to incarcerate an old grandma for personal use.
So! If you guys don't hear from me, that's why.

| I love you sister. I hope you don't go to jail as you could most likely help more people by not going to the slammer. Your art work alone speaks volumes of joy and beauty along with the great sense of peace connected to your great work.
I for one would miss you greatly, and although it is admirable to take a stand against the common tyranny that goes on, would it not be wise to try to avoid jail, so that you could at least communicate somewhat freely with others?
I have been in prison, you cannot do hardly anything there, seek another answer I would ask of you, so you are not removed from those that love you.

| That's very profound. I take your words to heart.
You are right, of course. I will meditate on peace.
It's hard to say what I will do until the situation arises. | |

| How strict are your laws over there? I would think you would get just a fine for a small amount (personal use right?)

| What ended up happening was, she sent me a letter saying that she's going to hold on to it. I could come and pick it up within thirty days but after that it would be destroyed as it is "unmailable". My guess is that after thirty days it won't stink anymore. lol | |

| it crossed my mind that our economy is SO fragile that if pot was legal, it would crash the whole thing. Corporations that lobby against pot because they would be destroyed if it was legal:
Plastics Pharmacological Paper Alcohol Hospital industries Prison industries gov. personnel underground/illegal industries etc. etc. etc. . . .
