ok.. the rain has kicked them into gear big time...i really can't wait for the first frost when the greens die back and all you see is the goodies just waitin for ya...
just thought you guys might enjoy seeing these babies grow..
so here goes from beginning till now..EN~JOY
the start... left side 2nd patch in..corn and pumpkins...taken 7-9-11
on 8-2-11.. copra keeping onions and the red potatoes still in the plot
today 8-13-11..first plot has new grass mulch for the winter
potatoes, onions and garlic have been picked, cleaned and are now stored
so just watchin those pumpkins growin
lots of blossoms..oh can't wait...i luv pumpkins..frost and big orange things in the field..sigh
spider guarding a new pumpkin
and now the squash mystery patch..lol...we had some old squash seeds..butternut and acorn and some
realatively newer banana squash seeds so hubby put them all in one plot and didn't write down which went where.(MEN !!!!)
..then the deer were eating at it so i put up a little fence but then had to remove it..
early on 7-23-11
with a deer netting surrounding the plot..you can see the wind damaged peach tree in the background
and my row of beans on the right..that are now overgrown with squashes
8-2-11 right before we took the netting off..
today..the pathces are growing towrad each other and will probably meet . even though we are trying
to turn the vines back towards the original plots
lots of blossoms here too
some baby butternut squash..absolutely my favorite
and some pink bananna squash..which were heirloom seeds
these guys are supposed to get really really big..and looks like they are on the way
hope you guys had some fun here..we're heading to the auction for some fun..don't plan on buyin anything..just fun to watch
blessings to us all
