Forums form and separate..Its human nature!

Whenever you have a group of people in an organization (or forum) it is only a matter of time before something happens that divides the group into sub-groups. Look at churches over the years. Start out with one. Somebody takes a different interpretation of the bible and those that feel the same way, start an new group with different beliefs. Not long someone does it again and then you have a whole bunch of congregations with the same main purpose yet opposing points of views.

I was always told that when you had company over that you shouldn't talk about religion. Nothing seems to fire people up more than talking about spiritual beliefs. My neighbour always says that two things that everyone has is an opinion and an asshole!
Sometimes its seems that the asshole has an opinion like we have witnessed on other forums.

There seems to be a group of individuals that are out to discredit any of the Ra type material, or David Wilcock, or any type of spirituality that differs from their King James version dogma. Perhaps David is not entirely right or the Ra material may be a stretch at times but the way they try to discredit the info and criticize anyone who even lets on that there is anything good in the material makes me very suspicious in their motives. I don't jump all over anybody that believes in the bible. I believe in free will and if they want to take each word out of the bible literally and live their life accordingly, by all means go ahead. So what is it to them if I say that the Ra material is uplifting and may hold many truths. My mother always told me it was good to try new things.

To me that is what life is all about. Try on new things. The things that fit, I hold on to, the rest I throw away.

I watched a movie today and there was a line in it that I would like to share.


Faith cannot be given to a man. It comes from seeking knowledge. Thinking and knowing are quite different.

...other forums tend to weigh me down. I feel sucked into dogma like quicksand. The more I express my opinion on all the conspiracy theory stuff the firther I sink in it. I try to be objective and rational but its clear there is no rationalizing with some. Will this place stay clear of dogma and concentrate within? If so I'll stay. I dont need a ton of people to bicker with. I need a few that are willing to share ideas, not necessarily subscribe to mine but be willing to ponder them and respond in a reasonable way....

good point.......i think we can learn for our past forum experience...... in the past meny times i was too quick to post.......but i feel we can look at those times and use them to grow......and then hopfully we won´t need to divide......like you said take what we can and leave the rest.....and be flexible to try new things and to realize others are doing the same........ thanks for the reminder !!!!! i hope everyone will enjoy their trip here regaurdless what trip they´re on..... :albino:

We are human and make mistakes and have to forgive ourselves for things that we cannot take back.
We had old opinions and now some of us are complete opposites, but only after we did research, examined our lives and are finally getting in touch with our inner self.

We have to promise to not attack others and respectfully listen to all who want to share on this forum.

As you know, I could be a nasty one when nasty ones attack, but only because I have been up against these types for a long time.

There was one thing one of the smurfs said that I agreed with. God doesn't make kittens to fight dragons. He makes dragons to fight dragons.
Now I know that I am a white dragon! lol

I respect this board and it's members because it is the LAST place where we can grow by sharing. I look forward to learning from great minds.

As humans it will be inevitable that disagreements will take place, on this and other forums,
where people have the right to express their views. Long may it be so.
I think the main reasons for people joining forums that resonate a spirit of community is, to feel comfortable in sharing their insight and knowledge and to gain insight and knowledge.
Open minded scepticism and mature debate must entail respect for everyone, visitors and participants alike.

Unfortunately all forums attract some people that are not very secure and lack emotional
maturity. It is a sign of this insecurity when disrespect and 'name calling' ensues over a post, that is perceived as a personal attack because one party disagrees with another.
Courteously asking for clarity or moving on with dignity cost nothing, and integrity remains intact.
If bad manners is not nipped in the bud, it will snowball and spill over onto other threads
until the membership falls off and the demise of the forum will follow.

Therefore it is imperative that the administrators do not act with ambivalence nor ambiguity
when dealing with such behaviour. It is a fine line to walk when dealing with free thinkers,
and no doubt accusations of censorship will fly, but I'm sure the honest majority of members will stand by fair play.
