The Associated Press updated 3/13/2011 11:20:24 AM ET 2011-03-13T15:20:24 TOKYO — The weather agency says a volcano in southern Japan is spewing ash and rock again as the country struggles with the aftermath of a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in the north.
The Meteorological Agency issued a warning Sunday saying that Shinmoedake volcano resumed activity after a couple of quiet weeks.
The mountain is on Kyushu island, 950 miles (1,500 kilometers) from the epicenter of Friday's magnitude 8.9 earthquake and resulting tsunami, which devastated much of the country's northeastern coast.
It was unclear if the eruptions were linked to quake. Japan lies on the "Ring of Fire" — an arc of seismically active zones where earthquake and volcanic eruptions are common.
Japan Earthquake Triggered Volcano Eruption In Russia?
The major earthquake that hit Japan today may have just triggered some volcanoes in Russia as well. While reports are still vague on the incident, there is a strong correlation between the two occurrences. In Russia, there are reports that earthquakes where felt during the eruption.
According to dziennik pl world (translated):
In the Russian Far East, there has been a strong volcanic eruption. The air got a great cloud of volcanic dust, which can pose a threat to air traffic in the region.
Local experts warn that, dust can rise up to a height of seven kilometers.
Explosions were accompanied by minor earthquakes. Russian service monitoring the activity of cones, however, ensure that the implemented measures guarantee the safety of residents of neighboring towns.
According to Russian media reports, the first cloud of dust covered the city of Ust-Kamczatsk. Over five thousand people are forced to stay at home. The authorities have recommended the strict ban on opening windows.
The population, however, was not evacuated, and experts say that the dust does not constitute a great danger. Despite this, from Thursday, all offices of state institutions and organizations have suspended work – except in cases of emergency. For some time, also closed roads in the region.
While this eruption does not seem to be a significant threat to the people in Russia, the fact that an earthquake in Japan could have triggered a volcano eruption in Russia does have some significance.

I remember years and years ago reading somewhere that Japan would be one of the islands that would sink sky, not that I am putting energy that way my love, but those foretold changes we have been reading about for years seems to be all happening now as we know here.
I actually heard an unawake person say the other day, first New Zealand, the flood here, then Japan, what is happening with the world?
I also read somewhere yesterday on my travels that the veil is thinning now and we will be able to see and hear from now on which we also know here.
So that said let us all not be surprised from here on in what we see or hear...............

Right on Mic, it was our Mother Earth rejecting the evil of our so called leaders.
The planet does have a way of setteling the score.
Our great little planet is tired of the attempted poison of her and she is reacting to it.
The Karma cycle of evil is circleing around to the inhabitants, unfortunately.
Looks like the beginning of the earth changes we have heard about for so long.
