hope you enjoy some more posies
lots of rain so some of the poor things are laying down..like these larkspur, the white spikes are yucca's
this is turning into one of my favorite combos..purple larkspur and pink campion. the pink does not show up well in the pic but it is a hot hot shade of pink
a cabbage rose..i got a couple..just really learning how to grow them..these one's luckily weren't real picky..lol
and if you have never seen asparagus going to seed..here it is..the far left is horseradish
lamb's ears..they are in the mint family..you can tell mint becasue the stems are square..really..
the lilies, of course
black hollyhocks and echinasia..just starting into bloom along the fence
sometimes seeds look as good as the flower..these are wild geranium seeds
and sometimes called crane's bill because of the way they look
they start out with a center stick looking thing..crane's bill
and then four seeds curl from the bottom of that ..really cool
i dug some out of the woods years ago and now have to return them to the woods cause they are turning into thugs
the small white flower is camomile and the round thing is the seed pod of the nigella or black cumin
they kepp getting more papery and split from the top and peel back...another cool seed
