| I could be wrong Biggsy but I think that's a first generation monocular. The nvg's that Ed Grimsley is using to make those videos are 3rd or 4th gen. I went looking for prices awhile back and the cheapest 3rd gen ones I could find were like $2,000. Not really sure if you really need the best if you're in a remote spot far from city light polution, those might be good enough to see some cool stuff zoomin around up there. | |

| Biggsy, Dukey got it right from what I've read about this subject! Here's one shop downunder Biggsy http://www.nightvisionshop.com.au/c/251100/1/nv-goggles-gen-3-.htmlI've just had an amazing find in my hometown regarding SLOW Magnetic pole shift in relation to Religious Structures..which means, not as focussed on NVG as I would like to help you mate LOL Having said that now I am looking... http://www.nightvision.com.au/how-nv-works.phpThey cost Big Bucks Biggsy, but in saying so, I'm sure I know a place here in Melbs where they rent them out, most likely for big bucks. What's amazing when you think about NVG, is how many people in the Military that are not TOLD the full story could, can see stuff which is not in our official "Story Books" wink wink nudge nudge say no more. | |

http://anvf.blackice.com.au/cgi-bin/nightvision/forum?index=articles&story=nvau&function=read Thanks Soma, read the links; well that's a darn pain isn't it, unless your Army, government, whatever it looks like you have to more or less try and get one on the black market down here (Gen 3) that is. The fact that they said anyone selling you a Gen3 could go to gaol for a long time is a real worry. Am I right in stating that US residents can buy them over there no worries though. I feel like I am in a police state already. You know what I wanted them for hon; I wasn't going to go out and do military type stuff with it, unless of course the shtf. I wanted them just to be able to see those unseeable craft up there. In fact I looked on ebay to see if I could get a night vision camcorder. I mean if you do see something up there with night vision you would want to be able to record it. Ha, ha, I can imagine getting this stuff, seeing something, recording it and the next day those suit guys turning up saying hand over the film lady. Gee, the rules and restrictions on this darn rock, cant do anything. | |
