| How come when birds sit on power lines they dont get electrocuted And how come I see a lot of different birds everyday and over my life time I have only ever seen a couple that have passed away on the ground. Considering the millions of birds there are wouldn't there be more of them to be seen around when they pass over, where do they go.................... Yes I know I think too much. Why is the sky blue and that. xo | |

| If they only touch one wire they are not grounded so the current doesn't hurt them. Now if they were really big and could touch the ground they would be fried. Also if they touch a second wire.......zaaaap! You and I could do a high wire act too if we only walked on a single wire.....but don't reach for another wire for balance...eeeeoooowwwwzzzeerrrss | |

| Mic, I asked my 86 year old mum this question and she did not know the answer, funny that, because she just about knows the answer to everything else. You are full of answers and a very knowledgable man. PS: I am thinking maybe the birds pass right into the fourth intact. | |

| Last year one night riding home I saw a possum on the power lines but as it was dark i could not make out what it was up to being so still so the next day riding past I made sure to see if it was what I thought it was. The little possum had its feet on one line and its tailed curled around another line. I had never seen that before :O | |
