Your guide to astrological energies for November 9 to 15, 2009
Written by Pam Younghans
Due to weekend plans, I'm sending out this week's Journal a couple of
days early... Enjoy!
We are gathering momentum. Like Harry Potter, standing on the train
platform, we know that to reach our destination, we must gather our
courage, and with confidence and intent, stride through what to some
may appear to be a solid wall.
Just by being in the train station, we have already embarked on the
journey. If you've felt sudden tiredness this past week, or various
other odd physical symptoms that seem to have no source or
explanation, this may not be news to you. As our vibrational frequency
increases, our bodies are going through major adjustments as they
adapt to the heightened energies.
And, just as when nursing a cold, our prescription includes plenty of
fluids to help move the toxins out, and extra rest to allow our bodies
time to regenerate.
Another similarity to the Hogwarts stories: there seems to be a sort
of magic involved, that we may not understand or be able to define, or
even that we find hard to trust. And when we talk about "energy
shifts" and "ascension," we can feel as different from the mainstream
as wizards among muggles.
The whole idea that we are going through a vibrational upgrade can
sometimes seem a fantasy, as we go through the normal activities of
our every day, talking with people about the usual things and looking
at life through the lens of practicality. But when we stop to sense
how we feel, there is a subtle difference in the air, and when we sit
in meditation, it's clear that the energies are different.
Our mental training keeps us looking for external proof of what is
really going on, as if we were watching a magician's trick and trying
to figure out how it's done. At the same time, we believe in the
magic, and continue to scan our experience for signs of the shift that
is underway.
The week ahead is perhaps the most energetically powerful of the
entire month of November. Some of that power comes from the Triad
(Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter), which is pushing us to heal our
addictions to drama and struggle.
The Triad in Aquarius offers us the freedom of allowing, the
inspiration of hope, and the understanding that separation and loss
are but illusion. But the square aspects to the Sun and Mercury
indicate there's something of a challenge involved, and that we will
find ourselves facing obstacles if we continue walking down the exact
same path as before.
With the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, some of what we may be required
to release is a stubborn insistence on having things our way. To reap
the benefits of this challenge, we will need to loosen our grip, let
go of control, and discover that true freedom comes from cutting the
cords not to other people, but to the resentments and angers that are
still manipulating us from where they reside in our energy fields.
While the Triad is challenging us to take the next step in our
spiritual healing and growth, Uranus beckons us through an open door
to expanded spiritual awareness. The Uranus aspects on Wednesday and
on Saturday are our keys to liberation. It is magic, indeed, to have
these keys available to us at the same time that we are being
challenged on so many mundane levels.
Uranus is the messenger from our higher consciousness, and from his
position in Pisces, he is offering us the opportunity to expand our
human consciousness to incorporate other dimensions. It is now that we
will be able to send our awareness further into spiritual realms --
realms we may not have been able to imagine at earlier stages in our
journey.
And we've been wondering why there's been this sense of anticipation
about November...
At the same time as all this is happening, the Sun and Mercury are
forming a subtle aspect to the North Node, the point that represents
humanity's common direction of highest spiritual growth. This is a
minor but very encouraging energy, which leads us further on the road
toward claiming our inner authority and authentic selves.
On Sunday, the aspect we've been anticipating for weeks -- the Pluto-
Saturn square -- will be exact. While an aspect of this magnitude will
be in effect for months, we can still expect that its influence will
be strongest this week and next.
This is an intense one -- there's no getting around that reality. On
some level, we will be working with issues that have been brewing
beneath the surface, that are now ready to be addressed directly. We
will be challenged to stay in balance (Saturn in Libra) while still
allowing the transformation of structures that either have outlived
their usefulness or are not in integrity with our highest aspirations
(Pluto in Capricorn). These may be political, social or relational
structures, or even the structures of our own egos and personalities.
There is also a side of this Pluto-Saturn influence that has to do
with managing either emotions or situations that seem to be outside of
our control. Anything of this nature that arises will reveal where we
have yet to step into our power, and where we are allowing ourselves
to be manipulated by something behind the scenes, even if it is by our
own negative emotions.
To find solutions to any issues that arise, we will need to develop
the higher level traits of the signs involved: Libra's sense of
fairness and willingness to cooperate, and Capricorn's focus on
integrity, accountability and self-reliance. If we invoke these
qualities, and align with the higher vibrational spiritual energies
that are available now, we may see what real magic is.
Special Offer!
Pluto-Saturn Cycle Readings
NOTE: Due to the enthusiastic response to this offer, my first
openings for readings are now on the first Friday in December.
However, if you schedule your Pluto-Saturn session during the month of
November, even if the actual session takes place in December, I will
honor this offer.
In answer to the many questions I received in response to my blog
posting about the Pluto-Saturn cycle*, I am offering special readings
at a special price for the month of November!
We began the current Pluto-Saturn cycle in 1982-1983, when their
alignment in Libra initiated themes related to relationship and
intimacy, and brought up circumstances where we learned to deal with
people, events, or even our own emotions that seemed "outside of our
control."
Over the past 27 years, we've continued working with these themes, and
met specific challenges in these areas in 1993-94 and 2001-2002. Now,
as Pluto and Saturn again interact, we take another step on the path
that leads to greater balance and wisdom.
How does your current experience relate to the previous dates in this
cycle? What can you learn from those past experiences to help you more
wisely and powerfully handle the months ahead? Are certain patterns or
behaviors coming to the surface, ones that you're finally ready to
identify and release? Are you dealing with relationship issues that
you'd like more clarity on? As you look forward to the next 10 months,
in what ways are you being supported to transform and take charge of
your life?
If you would like to explore answers to these questions, I invite you
to set up a special Pluto-Saturn Cycle Reading, at the reduced prices
of $45 for a half hour and $75 for an hour (a 10% savings over my
usual fees).
To request one of these special sessions, please send an e-mail to
pam@northpointastrology.com with "Pluto-Saturn Special Reading" in the
subject line. Please note that this offer applies only to this special
reading, and only for the month of November 2009.
