We call that baiting the catch here in Canada. I hope this couple have no hunting signs on their property.

These poor critters start trusting humans and some jackass might spoil the party in hunting season.

I agree with mic, you start messing with their natural instincts and they start trusting humans are become more vulnerable. I hope this couple is protecting them, because now they have that responsibility.
