ok, so last night i couldn't sleep and i got up, plugged
in the laptop, and went searching for something
"mindless" to watch, as i was done with research for the
time being - i did not want to think, i wanted to sleep....
so i went to hulu and found an episode of "monk" entitled
'monk and the ufo' and i watched
what a crack up! monk sees a ufo, tried delicately to ask
the nice sheriff if anyone else had reported and soon
the little town he was in started to fill with space-costumed
people who had heard about the "sighting"
the comments from the monk and the show's main characters
about these 'internet people' were hysterical, even though they
were referring to you and me......
the most interesting part was monk's reaction when he woke up
in his hotel room at night, went to the window and saw 'aliens'...
he simply opened and closed the window curtains and went back
to bed, got up, and tried again - same reaction, very calm.....
and i thought, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
the 2nd most interesting part was the resolution of the storyline
where it is deduced that the flying saucer was actually a remote-controlled
toy, put out there by a loony who murdered his sister for money
then needed people to flood the town and find her body, so he
could get his hands on the dollars
those 'internet people' even thought monk was an ET for awhile,
asking to see his belly button -
anyway, it worked, and i fell asleep
