Thank you much Reunite! I've just found a couple books there that I've been meaning to read for awhile. I'll admit that I'm partial to the tactile experience that goes w/ reading a physical book, but this is a definitely a good substitute and much cheaper.
I was actually just looking for an online copy of Jon Krakauer's Into the Wild for like an hour the other day, sadly to no avail. I was lead to believe that since it is still in print that it wouldn't be online, but lo and behold, so thanks again Reunite.

I had recomended it to zuni a little while ago, but I think it's a great read for almost anybody here. Krakauer's an excellent author imho, and does this true story justice in his portrayal of a a kid who decided donate all his money and bail on society. I read it when I was about 17 and it had a substantial impact on me.

The summary on the cover here is a good intro if you think you might be interested in this relatively short read (about 200 pages paperback).


p.s. Hollywood just made the story into a movie but it was kinda weak imo, certainly not the whole story.

p.p.s. I'm not normally one of those "the book was better" folks.

I do prefer reading a hard copy and giving a little to the author however finding an ebook online that you can't find anywhere else is a bonus plus I like to read an ebook on the computer whilst at work when I bored.

yes! absolutely great book. got it in german...

Thanks cap, glad to hear that book's makin' it around the world. I'm more into novels, but I'll give that flouride deception book a shot as I'm no fan of flouride (got a big brita filter for the sink cause they definitely flouridate the water here).
