Well not exactly FREE but a good idea if you can afford it...
For a limited time and in certain areas of the United States, the government will pay you $20,000 in rebates to install a medium-size solar power system. Call to find out what incentives are available in your area.
$20,000 in rebates ??? So just what does the system cost?
$576.79 per 124 watt/600 volts DC power (max). Your gonna need a bunch to run you house AC on these...especially appliances that are high watt, high amperage like dryers, airconditioners etc.
plus the DC to AC converter and storage battery system when the sun doesn't shine, like at night on those long cold winters...

Manufacturer: OkSolar 2.5KWh Inverter, 480Wh Solar array, Will produce on average approximately 1.4kWh per day. Battery Bank a total of approximately 4.8kWh of storage.
1.4kWh per day Check your ultility bill to see your daily kilowatt hour usage, then you will know how many 'kits' you will need to run your house...
Also these ones are not EMP proof...

Well I don't know many poor people who own houses with high electric bills that would be helped by solar systems
But if you take a fan and a linen sheet soaked with water you can keep cool real cheap.
This works for anyone... make a small frame of wood or metal and set it in front of your fan. Keep a spray bottle of water handy and soak the cloth on the frame from time to time... You will feel cooler at the computer and save money by not turning the ac up as high

Not those ones no...
but THESE
You can run your laptop, led lights and other things from these. Totally portable and you can find military issue ones that are even better...
But you still need batteries for night time use... though the panel will run a trickle charger during the day when not in use

thanks for clarifying for me, DD and yes, i am ok, and it's way better to sleep outside in winter in a tent than without one, so yes, i am certainly ok with it, grateful as a matter of fact
