ok, i will start:
- Quote :
- 1) choose a cliche
"YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER"
- Quote :
- 2) explain why it is and/or is not valid
this one has lots of angles to it... the most recent example
for my self was susan boyle - i was shocked at my self
with its pre-judgement and instant labeling and small
mindedness, so i was reminded to withhold judgement
until further investigation...
***
on the flipside, i have had so many years of involvement
with people and experiences and introspection ... lots of bits
of data stored away ... combined with a trust in my feelings,
whether it is sensing something immediately about a person
or a situation - something in the energy which is felt then
filtered through the experience data at the same moment
new data is being created ... my point here is, that i often
do find myself judging the book by its cover - i try to steer clear
if i sense harm or confusion or even just a waste of time.....
***
came back to add, that in a literal sense, i have spent hours
in bookstores and libraries and the cover of book may
indeed draw me to it - i may not read it, or i may ... but
the cover draws me to it in the first place

- 4) at end of post, suggest another cliche to be given "the treatment" (optional)
"IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE"
