The Obama administration is changing the laws when it comes to arresting medical marijuana users. If you follow your states laws your all good, compared to Bushy who would raid your local medical spots.

Well thats some good news indeed!
Last year I looked into the legal aspects of Hemp farming here in Australia and its totally effing so wrapped up in red tape its damn right silly which comes as no surprise really. I did take a week to look into it regarding all the regulation per acre it was worse than one could imagine :onloo:
The goverments make money from red tape whilst all I wanted to do is get a permit to make oils etc LOL.. I take my hat off to anyone in the States or OZ who are making a go of it independently

I have unused pasture at the moment and I am starting to think about my long term plans for its use. I was reading about lavender plants yesterday and considering that.
We dont want to "grow" meat.
We like alpaca's and so some may be used for some nice woolly little friends - who will live a natural life. I have noticed many aspects of farming require red-tape.
If I want to have a bee-hive, I need a licence (5yrs renewal).
If I want to have animals, I have to register my block and the animals, then if I move them I have to tell the LHPA.
Etc etc

Anchor I was reading a magazine article about licorice root awhile ago in grass roots or warm earth magazine. From memoroy the article stated that most licorice is imported here and it can grow quite fine in oz conditions.
